Serving food is serving the Divine — the purest form of selfless service
In the spiritual tradition of Swami Shivanand Dadaji, Annadaan is not merely the act of giving food — it is considered one of the highest forms of seva. When a hungry person is fed with love and respect, it is believed that the Divine itself is being served.
At Aadya Dadaji Spiritual Foundation, Annadaan Seva is carried out regularly at various Darbars and during special occasions. Fresh, pure vegetarian meals are prepared and distributed to devotees, seekers, the underprivileged, and anyone in need — without any discrimination of caste, creed, or background.
This sacred service not only nourishes the body but also purifies the heart of the giver. It teaches humility, compassion, and the joy of selfless giving. Many devotees actively participate in cooking, serving, and distributing food as part of their spiritual practice.
Through Annadaan, we aim to uphold the timeless principle: “No one should go hungry in the presence of the Divine.”
Annadaan is conducted regularly at multiple centres, especially on auspicious days and during spiritual gatherings.
Food is offered to every seeker and needy person without any distinction — pure seva in its true form.
Participating in Annadaan is considered a powerful means of purifying the mind and accumulating positive karma.
